Urogynecology involves the treatment of pelvic prolapse as well as urinary incontinence in the female. This can arise from the effects of the menopause, repeated heavy lifting, childbirth and chronic coughing, among others.
Much like "one size does not fit all," these entities must be evaluated for each individual in an understanding and caring fashion. Many non-invasive techniques can be employed and many minimally invasive techniques have recently been developed for their treatment.
